Quicksilver Bowes Academy

Quicksilver Bowes Academy is a community based organisation that offers boxing classes and mentoring for young people aged 8-17.

The Academy’s main aim is to use boxing as a form of therapeutic intervention to deter young people from gang membership and youth violence, whilst encouraging the enhancement and development of boxing skills, general fitness and overall wellbeing.

MIND

We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

Coping Through Football

Coping Through Football is a transformational project that demonstrates how two sporting charities, London Playing Fields Foundation and Leyton Orient Trust, can work with the NHS (in the shape of NELFT) to produce a sustainable recovery model approach to engage with and improve the wellbeing of adults and young people experiencing mental health issue
